A sore muscle is a sign that your workout was effective and that you put in enough intensity during training.

There are some age old techniques usep up to now like the R.I.C.E. method (Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate), but there are also other ways on how to relieve muscle pain that can make our muscle recover faster and more effectively.
Put the foam roller on the ground, lie on top of the roller, and center it on your sore muscle. Keep rolling and pressing your weight on the aching muscle a couple of times. Have soar muscle does’nt mean you should stop moving. After a race, the usual advice of coaches is to keep on moving, either by doing a 30 minutes swim or a 30 minutes bike ride. Lounge around in the pool and do a couple of relaxing 25 – meter easy swim. On the bike, ride using the lightest gear possible and just spin to your heart’s content. This will help flush all the lactic acid that your muscle accumulated. Moving around will also help prevent the dreaded D.O.M.S. (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness).
